Welcome polymaths !

Ever get the feeling that you seem to don't know what to do with your life because there are just so many things that you want to do ? I know, I've been there, so welcome to the club.

My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." I've finally embraced who I am and decided to turn my main blog into some sort of guide for people with so much interest. Feel free to poke around.

Google Chrome – Bringing an end or a new era in the browser wars ?

September 2, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 1 Comment

The headline in the information technology section of our local daily reads “Google sets off Internet browser war” I don’t agree with the headline. The internet browser war was started by Netscape and Microsoft and the war still continues until today. Now Google wants a piece of the action and is introducing a new web browser which they call “Google Chrome.” The soon release of Google Chrome was not accompanied by a lot of bells and whistles but is sure to “shatter some lighting fixtures” in the offices of the beast from Redmond. According to Wikipedia “The beta for the Windows version is due to be released on 18:00 GMT, September 2, 2008 and Mac OS X and Linux versions are said to follow soon” Google Chrome is a revolutionary new browser that could set the standards of future browser designs. Instead of just creating a fancier, faster and more secure browser, the design team thought out of the box and redesigned the browser to its very core, from the way it handles processes to … [Read more...]

Seaweeds mania!

August 31, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz Leave a Comment

Months ago my wife bought some dried seaweeds and started to eat it with rice. Naturally, I was curious what it tasted like, so I tried some. The seaweeds not only tasted pleasant, it kind of acted as an appetizer as it made me want to eat more rice. (This is not a very good thing for me since I wanted to limit my rice consumption to loose weight) Since that time on, we started looking for different variety of dried seaweeds. With globalization creeping in our neighborhood, we seem to have no problem finding a lot of variety of seaweeds. Most grocery stores now carry products from our neighboring Asian countries, including the delicious dried seaweeds. Most Filipinos are not fond of eating dried seaweeds, although I heard that people from a certain part of Luzon (I think in Albay), do regularly eat dried seaweeds. The most prominent country that features dried seaweeds in most of their meals is Japan. Most people from Oriental countries, who live in the coast, do have some … [Read more...]

WBO Night of Champions – Donnie “Ahas” Nietes vs. Eddy “Torito II” Castro youtube video

August 27, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz Leave a Comment

ALA Boxing promotion’s latest title holder World Boxing Organization minimum weight champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes will finally get a chance to defend his grown against Nicaragua’s Eddy “Torito II” Castro in a fight dubbed as WBO Night of Champions held at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu on August 30, 2008. Donny Nietes whose nick name is “Ahas” or Snake has an impressive record of only one defeat, 22 wins 13 of those via knockout and 3 draws. He is called as "Ahas" because he brings around a snake whenever he fights. I'm sure it has nothing to do with how he fights because if he keeps on slithering in his fights like a snake he might get Plantar Fasciitis. :-) On the other hand his opponent, Eddy “Torito II” Castro also holds an impressive record of 12-3-1 with 9 knockouts is currently ranked No. 9 by the WBO, No. 6 by the WBA Fedecaribe and No. 7 by the WBC Fecarbox. The fight between Donnie “Ahas” Nietes vs. Eddy “Torito II” Castro will be the undercard in the main event which … [Read more...]

How to come up with keywords that will get you high traffic

August 22, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 6 Comments

Different bloggers have different methods of coming up with their own keywords to optimize. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of ways on how to come up with the right keyword. Personally, I believe that in order to find high traffic or high trend - low trend keywords (HITLOD) keywords, you do not have to search for them. They will just come to you just like how great artists and inventors suddenly come up with a brilliant idea. (For more information on HITLOD keywords check out my blogpost: "A step by step guide on how to optimize high traffic-low density keywords." Here are my suggestions on how to come up with a keyword: 1.) Discover great keywords as you go about your day to day experiences - For example, after I watched the movie 21 I began to search the internet for the real story behind the movie. I realized that people would start to emulate them by gooogling “black jack”, “counting cards in blackjack”, “counting cards”, “how to count cards” or other similar … [Read more...]

Now that the Banal tragedy is behind us, another rising star in Philippine boxing and another fighter from the ALA gymn will hope pray and determine that he will not put his country men to shame by getting defeated in his home turf. Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista will defend his WBO Intercontinental super bantam belt against Mexico's Eden “Anestecista” Marquez this coming August 30, 2008 at the Water Front Hotel in Lahug Cebu. The Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista vs. Eden “Anestecista” Marquez is dubbed as the WBO Night of Champions and will also feature another interesting fight between Donnie Nietes and Nicaraguan Eddy Castro. Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista holds a record of 26 wins and 1 loss with 18 knock outs while his opponent “Anestecista” Marquez holds a record of 16 wins, 3 losses, and 3 draws with 12 KO. As usual I am optimizing this blog for the fight. You may be brought to this site because you are looking for the Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista vs. Eden “Anestecista” Marquez youtube … [Read more...]
