Former Commission on Elections (Philippines) chairman Benjamin Abalos has been criticized by Filipinos worldwide for mispronouncing the word “hamburger.” Instead of pronouncing the “g” as in go, goat, or goal, he pronounced it as “j” as in jar, jam, jug.
