Welcome polymaths !

Ever get the feeling that you seem to don't know what to do with your life because there are just so many things that you want to do ? I know, I've been there, so welcome to the club.

My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." I've finally embraced who I am and decided to turn my main blog into some sort of guide for people with so much interest. Feel free to poke around.

Willie Revillame suspended?

August 10, 2009 by Zigfred Diaz 7 Comments

Willie Revillame suspended for his reaction to Cory Aquino’s burial ? I don’t believe it. In fact ABS-CBN denies it and says that Willie Revillame asked for 2 weeks of  orlando vacations. If indeed Willie Revillame is suspended, I think it is very unjust of ABS-CBN to do that to him. In fact as I said in my post entitled “In defense of Willie Revillame’s reaction to Cory Aquino’s burial” I believe that Willie Revillame should even be commended for what he did. Whoever is in charge of production or traffic at that time that showed the burial procession with Wowowee should be the one that should be suspended. People are just making a mountain out of a molehill. They are so “outraged” by their misinterpretation of Willie Revillame’s statement. The MTCRB has joined in the craze and said that Willie Revillame violated their code of ethics. (What violation ? They should listen word for word what he is trying to say) There’s an online petition to “oust” him from the show. (Don’t these … [Read more...]

In defense of Willie Revillame’s reaction to Cory Aquino’s burial

August 10, 2009 by Zigfred Diaz 20 Comments

Willie Revillame has once again created a controversy. I am not surprised by this since his showbiz career has been very controversial. This time the controversy is focused on Willie Revillame reaction to Cory Aquino’s burial. As we all know Cory Aquino, loved by millions of Filipinos was buried last August 5, 2009. While the funeral procession was going on, ABS-CBN showed the burial procession side be side with the popular variety show WOWOWEE. The format of WOWOWEE is all about having fun. The show is filled with laughter, games and dancing. So imagine this, while the people in the ABS-CBN studio was having fun, shouting, giggling and dancing, the people outside the studio several kilometers away were grieving and crying in the funeral procession of one of our most loved former leader. Worst the funeral procession was shown side by side with WOWOWEE. Talk about that being oxymoronic! In response the show’s host Willie Revillame, reacted to this situation. Here is his … [Read more...]

The entire  Philippines is infected ! Not with AH1N1 but with yellow fever ! That’s right, the Cory Aquino fever ! Well not literally. We are mourning the death of our beloved President Maria Corazon Sumulong Cojuangco Aquino or fondly called by the people as “Cory Aquino” who sadly, died of colon cancer. (It would be a good idea to read colon cleanse reviews in relation to this topic) I did several post in her honor the past 24 hours. You can read about the "Legacy of Cory Aquino part 1" and then proceed to the "Greatest legacy of Corazon Aquino part 2." And of course "My top ten favorite Cory Aquino quotes" For those of you who missed the Video of Cory Aquino Funeral live, witness history unfold as the rest of the world watched millions of Filipinos pay respect to one of the country’s greatest … [Read more...]

Greatest legacy of Corazon Aquino Part 2

August 6, 2009 by Zigfred Diaz 7 Comments

In my previous post entitled “The greatest legacy of Cory Aquino Part 1” I discussed several legacies left by the presidency of Corazon Aquino. I said that I believe her greatest legacy was integrity. Now we continue on why I believe this is so. CORAZON AQUINO’S GREATEST LEGACY – HER INTEGRITY As I said the Aquino administration may not be perfect. In fact there were accusations before that some relatives of Corazon Aquino from the Cojuangco side that were taking advantage of Corazon Aquino’s presidency. Yet none can dare lift a finger and accuse Corazon Aquino personally of any corruption whatsoever. To this day, her integrity remains intact. In fact international observer and news media say that Corazon Aquino is the only president after Marcos whose integrity remains untarnished and intact. Her presidency was marked by simplicity, honesty and integrity. Stories about her simplicity and honesty are told by former staff. It is said that during a visit in a rural area, one was … [Read more...]
