Free seminar on Introduction to Financial statements

July 23, 2009 by Zigfred Diaz 3 Comments

If you want to invest in the stock market like Warren Buffett or learn how to do value investing properly, you must learn how to understand a company’s financial statement.

You don’t need to have an accounting degree to understand financial statements. All you need is the willingness to learn. Don’t even worry if you are not good in math, besides prominent value investor Peter Lynch once said “Everyone has the brainpower to follow the stock market. If you made it through fifth-grade math, you can do it.”

If you want to have a free web directory introductory lecture on financial statements you might want to attend the Street Strategist’s free seminar on Introduction to Financial statements.

I’m teaching business law at the Cebu Institute of Technology. Currently we are now tackling the Corporation code. I believe that students can learn more if we apply theory into actual practice that is why I usually relate my discussions on the corporation code to publicly listed companies and the stock market. Further, I encourage them to understand how to read the annual reports especially the financial statements in order that they can full grasp the concepts presented in the Corporation Code. That is why I encouraged my students to attend this very important free seminar.

If you are not into stock market investing, this seminar is also useful for those who are in business, especially those who own small business who want to learn more about financial statements.

The seminar lecturer will be Thads Bentulan, otherwise famously known as the “Street Strategist.” If you want to know more who the Street Strategist is check out my blog post “Guerilla Blogger meets the Street Strategist.”

Don’t waste your time, grab this opportunity. Attend the free seminar on Introduction to Financial statements to be held this Friday, July 24, 2009 form 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the T.V Barn at ABS-CBN Broadcasting – Visayas Complex North Road, Jagobiao Mandaue City, Cebu. Please call (032)-422-1953 in order to reserve your seat.

jo: No, haven’t worked out a series on this but I am thinking of doing it now that you have brought this up. I am not to keen on investing in mutual funds for certain reasons, I will write on this soon. Anyway, you can check out my stock market investing blog at http://www.stockmarket-investing.com. I write a lot about investing there.
