Buying, selling, or renting Condo hotels

April 23, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz Leave a Comment

Condo hotels are usually high-rise buildings developed and operated as luxury hotels. The concept has been around for quite some time and is found in almost every country around the world.

In essence, Condo hotels are really hotels that have condominium units which are sold to someone who wants a vacation home. The owners can opt to keep the units so that it will be available to them anytime they want, or they can rent it out to the hotel so that the hotel management can use it just like any other hotel room. In most of these arrangements, the owners are given a number of free days in a year to stay in any available rooms in the hotel, so that he will still have someplace to stay as his unit is being rented out.

Personally, I consider condo-hotels as a good investment for several reasons. First, we all know that the price of real estate always goes up. Second, renting out the condominium unit is a form of passive income. So even if you are sleeping at home, your condo hotel unit is making money for you. Thirdly, you are usually given a number of free days to stay in the hotel while your unit is being rented out. If the hotel has several chains of hotel all across and the country and they allow you to use your free stays in any of those hotel then that would be a plus factor.

A good place to buy, sell or rent condo hotels is the Condo hotel marketplace.

I have not yet tried their service but again I do highly recommend Condo hotels since as I said they are a good investment. Check out their site and service, drop me a comment and tell me what you think.
