ALA Boxing promotion’s latest title holder World Boxing Organization minimum weight champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes will finally get a chance to defend his grown against Nicaragua’s Eddy “Torito II” Castro in a fight dubbed as WBO Night of Champions held at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu on August 30, 2008. Donny Nietes whose nick name is “Ahas” or Snake has an impressive record of only one defeat, 22 wins 13 of those via knockout and 3 draws. He is called as "Ahas" because he brings around a snake whenever he fights. I'm sure it has nothing to do with how he fights because if he keeps on slithering in his fights like a snake he might get Plantar Fasciitis. :-) On the other hand his opponent, Eddy “Torito II” Castro also holds an impressive record of 12-3-1 with 9 knockouts is currently ranked No. 9 by the WBO, No. 6 by the WBA Fedecaribe and No. 7 by the WBC Fecarbox.
