Why you should invest in Teak based patio and garden furniture

Teak is a dense grained hardwood found in most of Southeast Asia. What’s great about this wood is that it is highly resistant to rot, warping, shrinkage and swelling. Teak also contains a high natural oil content which preserves the wood. Because of this you don’t have to worry if you leave your furniture outdoors for long periods of time. It is very smooth and does not splinter. The best thing about the wood is that it remains neutral in temperature and has a faint but pleasant smell of aroma. Teak has been used since time immemorial. Because of its durability, it has been used in constructing ship decks. In fact the first teak outdoor furniture was made from the decks of old ships. Until today many of the public parks in England have centuries old benches made from teak wood.
