The term Oleophobic must be quite new as my word processor does not even recognized it. heheheheh :-) (Oleophobic x 100 say it a hundred times and it's good tounge twister hehehe):-) The term Oleophobic is defined by the dictionary means “having or relating to a lack of strong affinity for oils” (Apple could have used a much simpler term, why not use “smudge resistant.” hehehehe) One of the iphone’s new feature is that the screen has a “fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating” A “fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating” on screens was something that is missing in earlier iPhones. Since the iPhone is a touch screen device and that it has no external keyboard, most of the time the screen would look smudged since users would be using their finger more frequently to access features on the device.
