Welcome polymaths !

Ever get the feeling that you seem to don't know what to do with your life because there are just so many things that you want to do ? I know, I've been there, so welcome to the club.

My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." I've finally embraced who I am and decided to turn my main blog into some sort of guide for people with so much interest. Feel free to poke around.

A step by step guide on how to optimize high traffic-low density keywords

April 27, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 28 Comments

I've always believed that there are only two things that you need to do to become a successful blogger. I call them having good “Fundamentals” and good “technicals” (Just like investing in the stock market hehehehe…) What I refer to as good Fundamentals is the writing of good content, having a good and search engine friendly blog template and having a good layout of your blog. Having good “technicals” means doing stuff that will drive traffic to your blog. One of the ways that will drive traffic your blog is to increase your ranking in google for HITLOD keywords (High traffic or high trend - low density keywords) Who is DJ Montano and Brian Gorrell and why you should get to know them Exploiting the Pinay Scandal keyword How Mr. Bean can help bring traffic to your blog or website Googel = Googol = ? In order to achieve this, follow these steps: 1.) Check if the keyword is a high traffic or high trend keyword– Go to Google trends and type a keyword. If it shows up in … [Read more...]

Who is DJ Montano and Brian Gorrell and why you should get to know them

You’ve probably heard about Ceasar Montano (Famous Philippine actor & film director) and several other famous Montanos who are politicians, actors, singers, directors and T.V personalities both here and abroad. But who the heck is DJ Montano ? “DJ” is short for Delfin Justiniano. That’s his real name. I won’t tell you who he is, I’ll leave the research up to you. And who is Brian Gorrell ? Again the research will be left to you so I won’t spoil the fun. But I’ll tell you why you should get to know these people. “Brian Gorrel” and “DJ Montano” are both HITLOD keywords ! (To know what is HITLOD, check out the post entitled “Do high trend low density “misspelled” keywords bring you lots of traffic?”) Look at the graphs for both “Brian Gorrell” (Whether spelled with a single or double “L”, both shows up in Google trends) and “DJ Montano” in Google trends. This shows us that these two key words are indeed high traffic keywords. “Brian Gorrell” has only been … [Read more...]

Do high trend low density “misspelled” keywords bring you lots of traffic ?

April 7, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 3 Comments

Veteran bloggers who have mastered the art of Search engine optimization (SEO) will tell you that one way of driving traffic into your blog is by optimizing “high-trend, low density keywords.” or what I call as HTLD or HITLOD. The definition of “high trend-low density” keywords has been discussed extensively in my previous posts such as - “googol – googel” “Mr Bean” and “Pinay scandal” In my own humble opinion, not all HTLD keywords can bring traffic to your site. There are certain keywords that may be classified as HTLD but they may not bring you traffic. An example of this is misspelled keywords. Some bloggers have been optimizing misspelled keywords and I don't know if this has been bringing them traffic and if it does bring traffic, does it bring them lots of it. The proper question that should be also asked is, is it worth it ? Examples of HTLD mispelled keywords are misspellings of the words friendster (Freindster) youtube (yotube), Viideo (vedio), quotes (qoutes) … [Read more...]
