Welcome polymaths !

Ever get the feeling that you seem to don't know what to do with your life because there are just so many things that you want to do ? I know, I've been there, so welcome to the club.

My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." I've finally embraced who I am and decided to turn my main blog into some sort of guide for people with so much interest. Feel free to poke around.

Want to get wealthy ? Think like the bank

February 5, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 5 Comments

Once upon a time an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) started working abroad. At the age of 29 he had already saved a total of P 100,000.00 (Philippine peso) Since the only investment vehicle he knew about was putting his money at the bank he went to the bank and deposited his P 100,000.00. The bank manager gladly accepted the money and even recommended that he put it at a time deposit account so that it would yield a higher interest rate at 4 % per annum. So he placed his money in the time deposit account and waited until he reached the age of 65. At the age of 65 he went back to the bank and asked to withdraw the P 100,000.00 in his time deposit account. Lo and behold his P100,000.00 already became P 400,000.00 because of the interest. So he withdrew his money from the bank and lived happily ever after. Is this a “live happily ever after” story or not? Do you consider this OFW as somebody who has “wisely” handled his money? Is he really earning the maximum potential for his … [Read more...]

Why don’t you give love links on Valentine’s day

February 4, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 3 Comments

Yep you guessed it right!!! The title of this post is taken from the song “Why don’t you give love on Christmas day.” But since Christmas is still 11 months away, I’ve decided to refer to the nearest season, the Love month, February, Valentines day. I’m sure you must have read my post “What’s the big deal about “No follow” and why you should disable it ?” If you haven’t read it, I encourage that you do so since I will be discussing here how to remove “No follow” in your Word press blog. But if you know what I am talking about, read on. There are lots of ways to remove “No-follow” in your word press blog. You can even do a hack. But most of us would prefer doing it through a plug-in, much easier, less messier. However there are several plugins available to remove “No-Follow” which of them should you choose ? Before I pick one out of the bunch let me just say that all of them are good. But there are those who stand out from among them and for me personally there is no better … [Read more...]

Listening to online sermons

February 3, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz Leave a Comment

This is my last blog for Sunday, starting next week I will only be blogging from Mondays to Fridays. If you want to know my new blogging schedule and the reason why I have will not be blogging on weekends, check it out here. In today’s modern day and age, we are so blessed with so much information about everything like and most esepcially our faith that I believe there should be no excuse for us to grow spiritually considering the deluge of spiritual guides and helps that are available today especially in the internet. One of my favorite sites is www.oneplace.com a website that compiles almost all Christian, evangelical online ministries. Oneplace.com is primarily for listening to online sermons, or the program of your favorite Christian Ministries. You can also download mp3 files of the sermons if the option is available. You can also read articles and sign up for free stuff from your favorite preacher or ministry. I listen to my favorite preacher, Dr. John MacArthur Jr. … [Read more...]

Looking back . . . Top ten post and blog performance for January 2008

February 2, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 4 Comments

Time sure flies fast! It just seems like yesterday when I entered into the world of blogging last late November 2007. As the first month of the year has ended, I wanted to inform you all of this blog’s performance. As I said before, my goal is to have 10,000 visitors a month. It seems that I am going in that direction by God’s grace. Here are my “most read post” for January 2008 and why I think they made it to the top ten. 1.) A stronger Philippine Peso . . . Fearless forecast - 68 Everybody, even the ordinary person is very much concern where the Philippine Peso is headed in the months to come. This post gives a compelling argument that the Philippine peso is most likely going to get stronger in the time to come. I mostly get visitors from this post through search engine searches. 2.) How to get rid of the “TTMS NAA NA DIRI” Virus - 37 Readers of this post most probably got infected by this Philippine made virus. This post gives detailed instructions on how to remove the … [Read more...]

VOIP . . . The next “hot trend” after the internet ?

February 1, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 1 Comment

It has been said that one way to build wealth is find the next hot trend and introduce innovative products into that trend in order to get a substantial portion of market share just as what Bill Gates did to the Computer operating system, Steve Jobs did to music players and computers in general and what Google did to the search engines. The next big thing to hit after the internet is Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP). If you do not know what VOIP is, watch this short Youtube clip for a brief introduciton to VOIP. In the July 2006 reprint of the Network Marketing business journal, it stated that a CNN broadcast in March 2005 revealed that “experts predicted that VOIP would surpass 1 Billion in revenues by the year 2010 and take more than 20 % of the market share from the local and long distance phone companies in North America by 2008.” The publication continued that the “Economist Magazine predicts that by 2013 as many as 47 Percent of all callers worldwide will be using … [Read more...]
