Welcome polymaths !

Ever get the feeling that you seem to don't know what to do with your life because there are just so many things that you want to do ? I know, I've been there, so welcome to the club.

My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." I've finally embraced who I am and decided to turn my main blog into some sort of guide for people with so much interest. Feel free to poke around.

My recommended money makers

September 25, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 12 Comments

Thomas Friedman, author of the famous book "The world is flat" once said "“It (The internet) created a global platform that allowed more people to plug and play, collaborate and compete, share knowledge and share work, than anything we have ever seen in the history of the world.” He is right. The internet has created a global platform that somehow makes the playing field in terms of income opportunities between people living in rich countries and poor countries. The world is indeed flat and making cash online has never been easier. While blogging may not be all about money, it cannot be denied that one could make a real living out of blogging. Almost all bloggers who are monetizing their sites have a list of “recommended money makers.” So I am writing here about my recommended money makers. Take note that this is not an experimental thing. I am making real cash online through these ad networks. Click on the links below to sign up for free. But before you sign up, it is best that … [Read more...]

Subprime mortgage bloopers!

September 18, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 11 Comments

The news gets worst. The fever that Uncle Sam has contracted about 13 months ago has now turned into pneumonia, and now the world has got tuberculosis. The subprime mortgage crises has now evolved into a full scale financial crises with major financial institutions falling, the Leighman brothers, Meryll Lynch and AIG being its latest victims. (Fortunately the Feds intervened in AIG’s case and Merill Lynch had the benefit of having a dashing knight to its rescue. The Feds decided to save insurance giant AIG because it is "too big to fail." Of course it is, imagine what would happen to their carinsurancelist.com) Experts  are now saying that the United States has full entered into a recession while Wall Street is asking who is next. Amidst the turmoil one cannot anymore avoid trying to understand the complexities of the subprime mortgage crises which undoubtedly is the main source of all of these. As I wrote before in my post entitled “Idiot’s guide to the subprime mortgage crises”, … [Read more...]

Go Macuha.com for blogger’s choice award !

September 17, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 3 Comments

Just a couple of days more to go for the “Oscars” of the Philippine blogsphere, the Philippine Blog Awards part 2 ! So bloggers prepare your Oscar de la Renta inspired gowns and suits and roll out the red carpet! Just like the Oscars, there are several categories that a Philippine based blog may be given an award for. One of those is the “Blogger’s choice awards.” Casting a vote for the blogger’s choice awards requires making a tough choice. Not only that, it requires a lot of commitment since in order to vote, you have to make a post about why you made such choice. (By the way whose idea is this? Congratulations to the P.B.S committee, this is such a great idea)There are so many good blogs to choose from. However there is no other blog that I visit more often than any of the blog that has been nominated and that is the blog of no other than the prince of Philippine S.E.O, Marghil Macuha.(www.macuha.com) Next to John Chow, Marghil Macuha is one of the “pro-bloggers” whom I look up … [Read more...]

Why I love Nuffnang

September 10, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 5 Comments

Notice the cute ad with the Philippine flag in my right side bar that looks like a digital signage ? Well, that is an ad space reserved for NuffNang. It is the latest craze to hit the Philippine Blogsphere just these past few weeks. Dubbed as “Asia's first blog advertising community”, Nuffnang was founded in February of 2007. This community driven blog advertising quickly attracted bloggers in Singapore and Malaysia. Currently there are more than 40,000 bloggers in its network. There are probably hundreds of things that I love about Nuffnang. However the best thing I love about this ad network is its strong community. They have a way of reaching out to bloggers and making them feel special. It is not only an ad network, it is a cross between social networking and blog advertising. The Nuffnang community itself is a blog wherein you can post comments and be informed of the latest developments. For me, this strong tie to the blogging community is what really makes it really live up … [Read more...]

Sarah Palin speech video shows how she can bring the Mccain campaign

September 4, 2008 by Zigfred Diaz 1 Comment

Watching the Sarah Palin speech video in the Republican National Convention made me believe that John McCain’s decision in picking making her as vice Presidential candidate is probably the best move he made this election. I’ve watch John McCain give a speech and I’ve watched Obama give one. Sad to say in my own personal opinion, John McCain’s speech is so boring that I think he would fall asleep if he listened to his own speech. It's better that John McCain give out promotional pens so voters will remember him rather than giving a speech. It’s not that I don’t like Republicans; in fact if I were an American citizen, I would choose to be a Republican, because I support the Republican’s stand on most issues. Enter Sarah Palin, young, energetic and unexposed in the national level yet with a great track record. The Sarah Palin speech video shows how she has “brought life” to the John McCain campaign.. In the Sarah Palin speech video you might be able to conclude that she may not be … [Read more...]
