My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." 8/8/08 is when it all happens. It is considered by many as the luckiest day of the year. That is why a lot of events are happening on this day. The reason behind this is because the number 8 is considered to be a “lucky” number by the Chinese. It has been said that the Chinese are so fascinated with this number that you have to pay extra if you want it in your telephone number or your license plate. There are a couple of reasons why the Chinese consider 8 as a lucky number. Consider the following reasons: 1.) Some people say the number 8 (ba) in China sounds like the word for “Prosperity” (fa) 2.) Other people say that it is considered lucky because when you write the number 8 most people tend to end writing it with their pen going for the an upper stroke unlike other numbers wherein you write it with a downward stroke. 3.) The Olympics fever is taking the world by storm! It’s been the buzz of news headlines these past days, people are excited to see as their country slug it out to make it on top in the Beijing Olympics 2008 standing. I admit, this post is primarily to optimize for the keyword “Olympics 2008 standing” A similar keyword in the last Olympics (“Olympics 2004 standing”) received several hits for a couple of days. Investing in the Philippine stock market – Beating the bear

I’ve always dreamed of someday deriving my entire income from investing in the Philippine stock market, and until this day I have always pursued that dream. I am not only dreaming about it, I am doing something about it. I am actively investing in the Philippine stock market and continuing to read books and attend seminars on how I can be more effective in investing in the Philippine stock market. I’ve always preferred investing in the Philippine stock market over any other forms of investments. My parents told me that Real Estate is the way to go when it comes to investment since my grandparents has been very successful in this. I am a license real estate broker, but I am not very enthusiastic with real estate. I could cite several reasons why I don’t want real estate as my main investment vehicle of investment but I prefer to make it a topic in another post. President Arroyo’s 2008 State of the Nation Address (SONA)

This coming Monday July 28, 2008, our President, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will give his annual State of the Nation Address (SONA). The nation’s attention will once again be focused to the Batasan Complex (Where the house of the representathieves sorry, that is “representatives” holds sessions) at Quezon city, Metro Manila Philippines for this historic event. In the United States the State of the Nation Address is known as the “State of the Union address.” All systems go for this coming Monday’s State of the Nation Address. Traffic has been re-routed and schools in Quezon City have declared no classes. Security has been beefed up in the area and even the president’s new dress is already prepared. This time President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will be wearing her newly made red Maria Clara terno in piña fiber.
