Election is such a colorful time in the Philippines. I don’t think any other country can match the colorful and vibrant democracy that we have. That’s because the colors that come with the election is not abstract but literal. Literally, the entire country is covered with the colors of the respective candidates running for their desired post. When election time comes, all Filipinos agree that the circus has indeed come to town. Without a doubt Filipinos are the one of the most creative in making political ads, jingles and election related materials. Those making spoofs also would not want to be left behind. In less than 48 hours, history will be written. We will be crossing the “Rubicon” as a nation so to speak. This Monday, May 10, 2010 the Filipino people will make a decision that could make or break us as a nation. It will be the Philippines 2010 elections. The Philippine 2010 elections is definitely the most unique among all elections that has happened in this country. Here are the reasons why I think the Philippine 2010 elections is unique and will definitely earns a prominent place in our history books. 1.) Automated elections – This is the first time that the Philippines will be using counting machines to count votes on a nationwide scale. Take note we had been very successful (They say) in conducting automated elections in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao in 2008. The movie “The clash of Titans” is currently being played in movie theatres worldwide, in a couple of hours right now, there will be another great clash, but it will not be the clash of the Titans but the clash of the legends as people all over the world are searching for the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Shane Mosley youtube video and live streaming. Floyd “Pretty Boy” Mayweather Jr. clashes with Shane “Sugar” Mosley at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on May 1, 2010 in a fight dubbed as “Who are you picking” On the right corner is.
