Welcome polymaths !

Ever get the feeling that you seem to don't know what to do with your life because there are just so many things that you want to do ? I know, I've been there, so welcome to the club.

My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." I've finally embraced who I am and decided to turn my main blog into some sort of guide for people with so much interest. Feel free to poke around.

I’m back !

November 21, 2009 by Zigfred Diaz 4 Comments

After a long blogging hiatus I am finally back to blogging mode ! I can’t believe that I only made one blogging entry for each of my two blogs for the month of October ! What’s worst is that I have not updated my guerilla blogging blog since September. I did however manage to sneak in the “Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto youtube video and live streaming” to take advantage of the traffic. :-) Some of my readers have been asking where I had been. I was very busy indeed wearing my “academic” hat. I was busy preparing exams, checking papers and finalizing grades among other things. Such activities have taken me away from my blogging. I also did not get to beat the self imposed October 2009 deadline of publishing the updated version of our ebook “Guerilla bloggers’ strategy and tactics on how to make cash online.” Now that I am back, I’ll try to do my best to hopefully finish if before the year ends. Worst case scenario is that it will hgh releaser sometime in February next year. I … [Read more...]

Guerilla bloggers, get a chance to be featured !

August 26, 2009 by Zigfred Diaz 7 Comments

Almost a year ago, The prince of Philippine SEO, Marhgil Macuha  and yours truly launched an ebook entitled “Guerilla blogger’s strategy and tactics on how to make cash online.” The ebook is simply a compilation of most of Marhgil’s post and my post, however the material is organized in a very unique manner. The free ebook was met with positive responses and appreciated both by newbie and veteran bloggers alike. This coming October 2009, in celebration of the first anniversary of the launching of our ebook, we will be launching and updated version of our ebook. We will be including a “testimonial” section wherein “Guerilla bloggers” who have achieved success by following our “guerilla” techniques or those who followed the suggestions of our ebook and those who followed Marghil’s blog or my blog even before the our first ebook was released. To be included in our forthcoming “Guerilla blogger’s strategy and tactics on how to make cash online October 2009 edition” Simply do the … [Read more...]

Pinoy expat in Singapore reveals Guerilla Blogger is banned there

April 14, 2009 by Zigfred Diaz 7 Comments

Recently, I heard a complaint from a Pinoy expat in Singapore that he cannot access my blog there. Curious, I asked him if he tried using another browser. He said he tried other browsers in different computers but he still could not gain access to my blog. I asked him what was the error message on the browser, but he forgot what it was, so we just forgot about it. He mentioned that it could not have been the internet connection since Singapore is a highly wired City state and that Wifi hotspots abound in the place. Well, we forgot about it until some time later at dinner he told us about life as a Pinoy expat in Singapore. According to him, life in Singapore is kind of lonely. Singapore may be organized and disciplined. The buildings are well maintained and the living there is like living availing of Outer Banks rentals. It is  much more of a 1st world country compared to its 3rd world Asian neighbors but life there is dull compared to our colorful life here in the … [Read more...]

April 9, 2009 by Zigfred Diaz 3 Comments

I received an email from Javier Suico a University of the Philippines – Dilliman student who is the blogger behind http://earningstudent.blogspot.com. His question is as follows: “ . . . ay may question pala ako... paano nyo po ginawa na pwede magdownload ng ebook kung mag subscribe sa feed mo po? hehehe naamazed lang ako dun.. hehehe... ganda ng ebook nyo na guerrila blogging... weeeeeeeee!” Translated in English as: “ . . . By the way I wanted to ask you how to place a link to an ebook download in the RSS feed. I was just amazed with that. Your Guerilla blogging ebook is great ! . . . “ To give you an idea, let me tell you a little bit on the context of this question. My unfortunate flat tire changing experience

March 1, 2009 by Zigfred Diaz 6 Comments

Of all the weird topics I want to share, you might be scratching your head and wondering why I am talking about a flat tire. Well, it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and I was blogging, trying to make some money online when my wife interrupted me by telling me she wanted her flat tire changed. I reluctantly went out. I have changed a flat tire before and it was a no brainer. It was not as if I was changing Ferrari parts. I was so anxious to finish it because I wanted to finish my blogging and then go right to sleep because I wanted didn’t want to miss my afternoon nap. So I got the spare, positioned the jack, started using the lug nut wrench to get the lug nuts off. Silly me, instead of turning the lug nut wrench (We call it a “tire wrench” here) counterclockwise, I turned it clockwise and forced it with all my might. Suddenly, I heard a snap. It was then that I realized that I should have turned it counterclockwise. Unfortunately, I broke one of the bolts that held the tire in … [Read more...]
