Welcome polymaths !

Ever get the feeling that you seem to don't know what to do with your life because there are just so many things that you want to do ? I know, I've been there, so welcome to the club.

My name is Zigfred Diaz and I am a polymath. After more than 6 years of bloging about almost anything under the sun and having sort of a "blogging identity crisis." I've finally embraced who I am and decided to turn my main blog into some sort of guide for people with so much interest. Feel free to poke around.

Guerilla blogger joins Batangas Today

September 16, 2010 by Zigfred Diaz 3 Comments

Marhgil Macuha the prince of Philippine SEO and co-author of our ebook “Guerilla blogger’s strategy and tactics on how to make cash online” has asked me to join him in his latest blogging project, a news site www.batangastoday.com Batangas Today is a news site that provides the latest news happenings in Batangas and around the world. Currently we have 14 bloggers including the editors who are working round the clock to bring the latest happenings around the globe. Batangas Today does not only focus on news from Batangas. As Marhgil Macuha explains just as the New York Times does not focus one New York alone or the Manila Times does not focus on Manila alone so does Batangas Today which will not feature news from batangas alone. News from all over the world will be featured here. I just posted my first news article today entitled “Philippine Stocks exchange breaches the 4,000 mark and is at its all time high!” Although I am not limited by the editor as to what to write on, I have … [Read more...]

What went wrong in the Quirino grand stand hostage taking crisis ?

August 26, 2010 by Zigfred Diaz 7 Comments

Last Monday, August 23, 2010 was such a sad day. Twenty one Chinese tourists from Hong Kong and four Filipinos were held hostage in a bus. The 12 hours standoff ended in blood. 8 hostages were killed. The hostage taker was Rolando Mendoza a disgruntled former police senior inspector who was fired from his job. Mendoza demanded to be reinstated and that his case is reviewed. So what went wrong in the Quirino Grand stand hostage taking crisis ? Why did end up in such a mess? The mishandling of the hostage crisis has really put the Philippines in a bad standing with the international community. Before I begin this post, let me bluntly say that I am no expert on this. I have not taken any courses on public safety, criminology, negotiating or anything else relating to hostage taking. Nor do I have the experience. I am no expert when it comes to this matter. However despite this, it is very obvious that there are just plain and obvious things that should have been done last Monday that … [Read more...]

Guerilla blogger’s new blogs and websites

August 22, 2010 by Zigfred Diaz 4 Comments

Since last year and for the past months, I had been working to try to expand my network of blogs. As mentioned in my “about" page, I have several blogspot blogs but I do not frequently update them. I’ve been starting new wordpress niche blogs since last year with individual domains, but I realized that I am too busy to maintain them, let alone write for my personal blog ! So for some of my blogging ventures, I’ve decided to partner with other bloggers. I have not yet formally introduced my new blogging ventures but here they are, drum roll please . . . .:-) 1.) www.stockmarket-investing.com – This is my first niche blog. The focus of this blog is of course stock market investing. From time to time, I write about personal finance and business topics as they relate to stock market investing. I love writing about how to invest in the stock market that is why I started this blog. Also from a blogging income perspective, writing about finance and investing topics is very advantageous for … [Read more...]

English translation of President Noynoy Aquino’s 2010 SONA

July 30, 2010 by Zigfred Diaz 1 Comment

Last Monday, July 26, 2010 our beloved President, President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III  or popularly known as "P-Noy" gave his first state of the nation address or SONA. The intention of the SONA is to get the legislative support of congress in order that the president's agenda for the country might be fulfilled. Aside from that the President also laid out to Congress what how will realize his campaign promises, what is his platform of government and how Congress can help him achieve this. Majority if not all of the SONA was delivered in Filipino, so most foreign dignitaries there were there listening were probably just scratching their heads. As one news paper put out, the only thing they probably understood were the applauses. :-)  Anyway it was a great SONA and I love how our president spoke plainly and straight from the heart. I've featured the full transcript of President Noynoy Aquino's 2010 SONA here in a previous post as he has delivered it in Filipino. In this post … [Read more...]
