A lot of people had been crying for the ouster of Chief Justice Renato Corona brought about by the impeachment trial which has been the subject of a lot of brouhaha for the past weeks. By why impeach Chief Justice Renato Corona when he is in fact on of the most qualified person to run this country.
A Corona presidency would mean an economic miracle. According to Rappler.com, Corona has properties worth more than 30 million (Excluding properties in the name of his daughter and his wife) and deposits in the banks worth more than 30 million (excluding dollar deposits) This despite his measly government salary. Corona must really be a finance or economics genius! Better than Warren Buffett perhaps as it is a wonder how he has compounded his money into millions considering small principal investments. Considering Corona’s finance and economic genius, there is no doubt in my mind that he can turn the Philippines into a first world country, faster than Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew who turned Singapore from third world into a first world country in 30 years. In just 20 years of government service Corona managed to turn his measly government salary into almost 70 million pesos and much more. I’m sure he could replicate the same finance and economic feat with the Philippines.
A Corona presidency would mean increase in our international standing as a nation. Imagine a Philippines who sits in the United Nation Security Council and a Philippines which has big say in the affairs of the world. All of this will be possible because President Corona will assemble an all star legal team and issue them metal coat racks that would assist in defending the Philippines position in every international dealing that we wish to have a voice in. And the best part about it? This all star legal team would be working for free!
A Corona presidency would mean a faster working government that will be very responsive to the needs of the people. Decisions will not go to the usual bureaucratic process just as how Corona acted swiftly on the Philippine airlines case (PAL) just by a mere letter from PAL’s defense counsel.
And best of all, a Corona presidency would mean no corruption at all! If President Corona’s SALN does not match his actual net worth, no problem! All of it will be explained in due time. Corona will no doubt become the most honest and most trusted president in history considering as he will be holding and will be trusted with other people’s millions or billions just as he has held in trust the millions of his wife’s company. Also, a Corona presidency would mean no more peso accounts ! Just dollar accounts as it cannot be opened by anybody under any circumstances unless authorized by the depositor. Because of this, the Philippines will soon replace Switzerland as the banking haven of the world. World leaders will deposit their billions of dollars in the Philippines because of its very strict and confidential laws on dollar deposit accounts. This will of course help boost further economic growth because of the surplus of money floating around our economy.
So if you want a successful economy and a country that we can all be proud of, vote Corona for President!
