In October 11, 1973, while imprisoned by the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. otherwise commonly known as “Ninoy Aquino” wrote a poem for his wife, Cory Aquino entitled “I have fallen in love with the same woman three times.”
Popular Filipino businessman –musician Jose Mari Chan gave music to the poem sometime in 1989 and included it in the album “Constant change.” While people appreciated the history and significance of the song, it did not become very popular when it was first released.
With the recent death of former President Cory Aquino, great interest in the music and lyrics of the song has been revived. People have come to greatly appreciate the song as this makes them remember two of the Philippines most respected icons of democracy.
The music and lyrics of the song is a fitting tribute of Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. and Cory Aquino’s eternal love for each other.

Really appreciate Ninoy Aquino’s expression of love for Cory Aquino. If both of them were alive today they would such be an old loving couple. Wonder what their answer will be on what their secret is throughout the years some testosterone cream perhaps ? hehehe just kidding.
