Boxing fans brace yourselves for another treat as Mexico’s Raul Martinez will try to grab the International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight crown held by Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire in the fight dubbed as “The Flash and the Furious” which will be held this Sunday April 18, 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao Quezon City Philippines.
People all over the world will searching for the Nonito Donaire vs. Raul Martinez youtube video and live streaming so I guess this is my way of preparing for the big fight also. (Fight for traffic ! hehehehehehe . . .) 🙂
Nonito Donaire, dubbed as the “Filipino Flash” because of his speed and reflexes has an impressive 20-1-0 record with 13 knock outs. This promising young fighter was born in Bohol, grew up in General Santos city and later on transferred to the United States at the age of ten. He recently got married to champion Rachel Marcial who is dubbed as the “Knock out queen” or “Lady Savage” in the world of Taekwondo. (I wonder what will happen if this two get into a couple’s fight, will boxing prevail over Taekwondo ? hehehehe)
On the other corner is Raul “The Cobra” Martinez who has a squeaky clean record of 24 wins, 14 by knock out and no losses. Raul Martinez like Donaire currently lives in the United States but is of Mexican decent.
So will the Flash get stinged by the Cobra ? Or is the Cobra too slow for the Flash ? It is said that Donaire beat up Martinez when they were amateurs. So will Donaire accomplish this again ? We will soon find out. Gee, I hope I had the build and muscles just like these boxers.
