Last year, I joined an essay writing contest sponsored by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public policy of the National University of Singapore and Time’s Magazine. The theme of the essay contest was “Asia Challenge 2020.”
All work with no play makes John a dumb boy, all play no work makes John dumber. This is what our parents and their parents taught them and all throughout the decades and centuries, the traditional view of playing games is that its childish, useless and done just for fun and that nothing good will ever come out of it except that it is done by children as part of growing up.
I taught at my alma mater, Cebu Institute of Tehcnology University, College of Industrial Engineering. Being a blogger for several years, in my classes I always presented the idea of making money online through blogging. Every semester, I hammered this idea into their heads. I’ve always believed that the internet is the future and a goldmine. We live in very exciting times and the internet is fast changing our society. I’ve encouraged students to be more active in exploring and exploiting opportunities online, especially in the field of blogging and social media which is a current hot trend and will continue to be a trend in the next few years.
I had an interesting conversation with a veteran lawyer one day. (Read – Veteran not senior citizen hehehehe, lest he become angry with me) :-) Our conversation first started about the Supreme Court deciding that San Miguel shares were really Danding Cojuangco owned and that it was not ill gotten. Because the decision was so preposterous and even referred to as the “joke of the century” by one of the justices that wrote a dissenting opinion on it, I asked him his personal opinion as to whether there was some sort of “maneuvering” (And by that you know what I mean)
My first 2 years as a blogger was spent on being a guerilla blogger, developing this blog and venturing on other blogs. It was only in my third year that I started to venture into niche blogging. It will be my 4th year as a blogger this November of 2011.
I’ve wanted to loose weight for several years now for health reasons. I’ve tried a lot of stuff already and the only diet system that worked was when I took a Chinese herbal medicine product. I think I moved about 2 or 3 notches in my belt. The product is great because you don’t feel hungry at all, and it suppresses your appetite. The problem is, I could not sleep. Fearing that I will go insane, I stopped drinking the stuff.
I just discovered that a guy named Christopher Lao has become an online sensation. The event that made him famous online happened sometime in July or August 2011. I’m an active netizen but it seems that his popularity has skipped my almost 10 hours a day online.
The 2011 bar exams is a very historic exam as this will be first time, after several decades of bar exams in the country, wherein major changes has been implemented. The game plan or battle strategy that has been followed by bar examinees for decades need to revised if not changed because of the “major major” changes in the bar exams.

A friend of mine recently disclosed that he has been scammed on Facebook in the amount of P 30,000.00. He transacted with a certain person whose Facebook name is “Aco sy michelle.” He has done a lot of online transactions before and after doing preliminary business in Facebook, he usually meets in person to finalize the transaction.
In today’s modern society when you talk about “Planking” every body thinks it’s posting pictures in Facebook while making out a crazy position. No, I’m not talking about planking the fad.
