A reasonable price would be less than P 20.00 in my opinion. So I just take it when I eat fatty food. So far I am very satisfied with the product as it eliminates a certain percentage of the fat I intake. The evidence can be seen when you do your morning ritual. The more fatty food you eat the more you will this evidence, and if you are a Xenical user you know what I mean because sometimes the evidence manifest itself in the most awkward situations when this happens it might be advisable for you to wear some incontinence products hehehehe

I learned about this film almost 5 years ago when it was still in the process of being made. Two of my managers had knowledge about this film. One of them whose hobby was photography and video making took a short course on the subject at the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT) an international film school owned by Big Foot located in nearby Mactan Cebu. He mentioned to me that Big Foot was in the process of making this film. I did not know what the title was at that time. Another manager who used to work at Big Foot studios also told me about this film. Both of them just talked to me about it in passing.

When I went to Ayala today I was surprised that the film was just being shown today, I thought it has already been released because I was told about it a long time ago. I learned it was released in the U.S in April 2011 and it is only today that it was shown in the Philippines nationwide.

I am happy that Big Foot Entertainment has come up with a film like this showcasing the beauty of the Philippines and show casing Philippine talent. Big Foot has substantial investments in the country especially in Cebu where they have their main offices and two big studios in two locations including the International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT). Big Foot Entertainment studios in Cebu includes post production facilities and features six sound stages, an underwater filming tank, editing suites, sound mixing, and Foley studios. Anyway my objective in writing this post is to invite people to vote for Puerto-Princesa underground river to be included in the new 7 wonder of nature.

The Puerto-Princesa underground river or what is officially known as the The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park   (also known as St. Paul’s Subterranean River National Park, or St. Paul Underground River)  is said to be the world’s longest navigable underground river. Well that is because in Russia, Mother’s day is celebrated on the last day of November. Russia  is one of the few countries that celebrate their mother’s day other than March or April. Majority of countries like the U.S or the Philippines celebrate mother’s day usually in the second Sunday of May. By the way you might be thinking of sending Mother’s day flowers across the US if your mother is in the U.S during that special day.

It used to be that there is no Russian Mother’s day. The closest they have to a mother’s day was the United Nation’s declared International Women’s day in March. It was said that in the 1940s, this day was very popular to Russian women as this holiday originated as a day of rebellion of women struggling for equal rights with men.

According to Wikipedia “Demonstrations marking International Women’s Day in Russia proved to be the first stage of the Russian Revolution of 1917. Following the October Revolution, the Bolshevik Alexandra Kollontai persuaded Lenin to make it an official holiday in the Soviet Union, and it was established, but was a working day until 1965. On May 8, 1965 by the decree of the USSR Presidium of the Supreme Soviet International Women’s Day was declared a non working day in the USSR” in commemoration of the outstanding merits of Soviet women in communistic construction, in the defense of their Fatherland during the Great Patriotic War, in their heroism and selflessness at the front and in the rear, and also marking the great contribution of women to strengthening friendship between peoples, and the struggle for peace.”

It was President Boris Yeltsin who officially declared a mother’s day in Russia to be held every last Sunday of November. As to why president Yeltsin placed mother’s day in Russia  in November, that I do not know.

Through my years of existence on this planet earth, there are lots of changes that happened in my life. Big major changes.

Every year I celebrate my birthday, that’s a major change as I get older every year

Every time a member of the family celebrates a birthday, that’s a major change, cause that means they are getting older too ! 

Every time I graduate, that’s a major change, because I’ve learned much, earn a year level or a degree.

Every time I celebrate an occasion such as my marriage, the birth of my son, major achievements in my profession, events in the organizations I am involved in, those are indeed major changes as I take on more roles in life.

Interestingly along with change there’s one thing that’s also constant, GOLDILOCKS !

GOLDILOCKS . . .  my constant companion in life’s major changes ! But no matter how much I love Goldilocks, there is still no Goldilocks in my refrigerator filter hehehee

We inherited Lechon from the Spaniards. The word “Lechon” originated from the Spanish term leche (milk). Originally it was meant to refer to a “suckling pig” that is roasted. Nowadays the term Lechon refers to any pig that is roasted, while a suckling pig that is roasted is more specifically is called a “lechon de leche.”

Lechon is roasted all over the country. It is commonly found when there are big occasions such as fiestas and parties. However there are certain parts of the Philippines that make lechon their specialty. In these parts, lechon taste more deliciously than anywhere else in the country. Several places have claimed to have the best tasting lechon in the Philippines. However none can match the famous lechon de Cebu or most commonly called as Cebu Lechon.

However take note that in Cebu, there are several places where you can get lechon. There are hundreds of lechon stalls almost everywhere. Some people think that if you buy lechon anywhere in Cebu you have already tasted the best tasting lechon in the country. Actually this is a misconception. If you want to taste the best lechon in Cebu you need to find out where the best among the best is being roasted.

Hmmm…. Staring at the Lechon makes me so hungry, reminds me to take my best weight loss diet pill.

This may be a bit hard considering that taste is relative and what is delicious depends upon the taste bud of the beholder. But trust me on this, I am from Cebu and I have lived in Cebu for most of my life, and I can tell where exactly in Cebu you can get the best tasting Lechon from Cebu.

The best tasting Cebu lechon I believe can be found in a place 13 kilometers away from Cebu City, the next city to the south of Cebu City which is Talisay City. (This is where I grew up) Almost all people in Cebu who has lived a long time here knows that Talisay City is where the best tasting Cebu lechon can be found. In fact Talisay City has an annual lechon festival which commemorates the glory days of the place being Cebu’s number one lechon maker. Now there are hundreds of lechon makers all over Cebu, but before people used to come to Talisay to get their lechon.

In particular, the best lechon store in Talisay is of course none other than the pioneering lechon makers of Talisay, Mila’s lechon located at Poblacion Talisay City. Unfortunately Mila’s did not do enough marketing and branding of their products.

Second runner up of course is the much more popular CNT lechon which can be found in most big malls and which has a more visible presence in the City and even in Manila. Tied in second place is Alejo’s lechon which is another popular lechon maker in the South.

So if you are ever in Cebu, don’t just buy any cebu lechon. Choose from among these outstanding lechon makers. A warning though, staring at the picture does make you hungry and may want you to fly out to Cebu immediately to get the best tasting Cebu lechon !!! Naturally we were intrigued that a car would bear the family’s surname. Of course it was kind of cool to know that a car bears your surname (My middle name in my case), not to mention that it is a cool concept sports car!

He showed us a website featuring a really cool looking car that is worthy to be compared to other hot cars like a Ferrari parts, Mercedez or Lamborghini.

When we saw the website we read that the car was called the “Maceren Mp-4” because the blog writer who I believe spoke Spanish wrote it as “El nuevo Maceren MP4- 12C” (Translated as “The New Maceren MP-4”)

Well, I never really gave it much thought until today. I never had a thing for cars. I am contented with my Suzuki Alto. Anyway, I searched the internet for the “Maceren MP-4” but the search engines never revealed what I was looking for.

I forgot what was the URL of the website was so I kind of did a little bit of searching for a needle in a haystack until I found the site which is at http://autosytuning.blogspot.com/2009/09/nuevo-mclaren-mp4-12c.html.

Searching other sites I found out that the car’s name is not the Maceren MP-4 but rather the “Mclaren MP-4.” Somehow inadvertently the writer wrote “Maceren” instead of “Mclaren.” I came to this conclusion because in his site he used “Mclaren” everytime he refers to the MP4 and not “Maceren.” He only used “Maceren” once which was the opening sentence. This led me to the conclusion that this must have been a typo error.

Well, I guess that settles the issue. Anyway, the car’s full name is McLaren MP4-12C, the first in a range of high-performance sports cars from McLaren Automotive. The design was no doubt taken from the McLaren MP4/4 which according to wikipedia was the “most dominant car in the history of Formula One.”

If they had named it the “Maceren MP-4” it would have indeed be so cool! Oh by the way, do you want to drive the car? Not really! But you can check out the ins and outs of the MP-4 here. If you really want to drive the car get ready for the $265,000 price tag. Also, there will only be 1,000 units that will be produced for the first batch, which will be finished on 2011. So hurry! Everytime I go to Dumaguete, I continue to discover places to go that I’ve never been to before and food that I’ve never yet tasted. Dumaguete is indeed exciting!

Known as the City of Gentle people, Dumaguete is kind of like a second home to me (Reminds me to get some home insurance quotes). Not to mention is the fact that it is the place where our side of the “Diaz” family comes from. My wife and I has been talking about retiring somewhere in Italy as the Lord wills. But if not in Italy, we are in the agreement, that we would probably make Dumaguete our retirement haven.

Anyway, we were there for my wife’s research presentation, I just went along for the joyride. We stayed at the Ildefesa suites inn, a nice little very affordable hotel located at Hibbard Avenue, just very near Silliman University where my wife used to spend 2 years of her college life.

Two of the places we hanged out to eat were the “Hoy Lugaw Mo” for breakfast and a nice little restaurant facing the sea called “Hayahay” for dinner where we feasted on mouthwatering dishes.

Of course we dropped by the famous Silliman University. This is the first time I have actually been inside the Silliman University Museum. For me and my wife our visit to Silliman University it was a trip down memory lane. (I frequently visited her here when I courted her)

A trip to Dumaguete wouldn’t be complete if you haven’t spent your early mornings or your cool night walking down the famous Boulevard. My grandfather calls it the boulevard of broken dreams. I really don’t know why, perhaps he made some promises there that he broke. Hehehehe.   Fortunately for me, it was the boulevard of fulfilled dreams!

With all the sights and sounds that Dumaguete has to offer, it is no wonder that this quaint little city is loved by locals and foreigners alike. Some foreigners even refer to it as the “European City” of the Philippines. I would agree to that, if they get rid of the tricycles that pollutes the city. (Perhaps limit their entry to certain roads in the city or replace them with e-tricycles) If they do this, than this would truly be something that is similar to that of the cities in Europe.

Oh by the way this trip to Dumaguete was a two day trip not just a day trip. I just used that word so that the title would rhyme. But really, Dumaguete is indeed dazzling. Check it out for yourself, go on a short vacation to Dumaguete today !
